When I go around places I find people disgruntled and upset about their decision to vote for political parties. They say, "these party people are liars." They reason it saying they are not given what they were promised. Now this situation put me into confusion and had me pondering. So I questioned: How could we solve this problem of politics and needs of the people? To find out the answer, I tried reading some normative philosophies and cookbook answers to such problems. But again, it wasn't relevant for our Bhutanese society. Then, I drank my last coffee and went into deep contemplation. I ignored a meal for that day. And suddenly, like a stream of consciousness leading you to the right direction, I thought the ultimate answer was: THE PEOPLE. Meaning, people are the cause for politics. The political motive should be based on bottom-up model and not the mediocre top-down control. To elaborate, needs of the people form the desire for development. A desire for development creates the formation of organization, like political parties and governments. This organization is to have "truly elected and dedicated" people who are sensible of the people's needs and address them in a way by creating a process of participation of all the stakeholders leading to the realization of goals of the desired development. By this explanation, politics is simple, it's not complex or corrupt like we are made to percieve it. So, taking into consideration this simple philosophy of "politics for people", an idea is born. An idea of starting a movement to form an organization that best understands the needs of the people and delivers. When the old are weary of new ideas and new forces reuqired for the change, young are full of energy to apply it. Keeping this factor in mind, an organization of young wisdom is thought required. So is this bid for the Bhuatese young people to participate in this cause for the interest of our nation and the people.
Welcome!
